Vacant Store Front

So this used to be a Blockbuster? There is an ice cream shop here as well....

Hey Donald!

Yea YOU, Mr. Trump.

Why don't you come up here and buy this ugly little building?

Clean the gnats out of your weave, and buy this dump.

Rip it out, and put in a 60 story building complete with a giant TRUMP sign.

SOMEONE-- clean this place up.

To the residents who do not do so themselves;

Look, you had your chance, and now it is happening, people are saying..look at that dump up there just waiting for me. All nice and cheap because no one takes care of it. It is perfect! These last attempts at cleaning up your dilapidated buildings by painting over the cracks in the walls isn't going to work.

So- MR. TRUMP!

C'mon,, you can do it. I dare you. Buy the crapped out old Blockbuster/ice cream shop.

Hey, I enjoy your blog very much. Just discovered it today through 'Inwoodite'.

I have one correction about the description of the picture you have there. That was not a Blockbuster. Blockbuster was right next to the Chase bank. The two boarded up places in your picture was the Mirage restaurant on the left and the Mirage Club on the right. The restaurant and club lost its lease... (don't know why) Leaving a huge mess and moved to where the DRK resturant and bar used to be (also don't know what happened with that restaurant) further down on Dyckman, off of Nagle, next to the 809 Bar place. Last time I checked, Mirage (restaurant and club) left that location too... Something shady there, I guess... but now, yes, we have plenty of empty spots to put a Starbucks. The empty lot on Dyckman and Broadway is perfect for a Barnes & Noble with a Starbucks within!! Yeah!
